Emilee is a PhD student funded by the National Institute of Health Research. Her doctoral project focuses on optimising hearing aid use in deaf infants and young children, with a particular interest in how cultural and socioeconomic influences can shape early hearing aid use among families. Emilee joins the SOUND Lab following 13 years of clinical practice, having achieved a BSc in Audiology from the University of Manchester in 2011. After deciding to pursue a career in clinical academia, she graduated with a PG(cert) in Clinical Education, Research and Leadership at the University of Cambridge in 2022 and a PG(cert) in Clinical Health Research from King’s College London in 2023.
