Dr Hongmei Hu is a senior researcher at University of Oldenburg. She has a background in information and signal processing in cochlear implants. Currently she is working part-time with our lab group as part of a collaboration with the University of Oldenburg. She has broad interests in auditory signal processing, EEG, psychoacoustics, and modeling. Her long-term goal is to demystify how the binaural auditory system of cochlear implant users works by combining all these approaches. One of her current projects in our group is to find possible relationships between subjective and objective measures regarding binaural perceptions in different hearing groups, such as normal hearing, hearing impaired and cochlear implant listeners
