Rajeev graduated in medicine with a triple first from Cambridge University and Distinction from University College London in 2006. He started his higher surgical training in Ear Nose and Throat Surgery in 2010 and gained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014. During his training he worked with the cochlear implant teams at St Georges Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and was fascinated by how this technology could lead to extraordinary improvements in hearing and quality of life. In 2015 he was awarded the UCL graduate research Scholarship and subsequently completed a PhD on objective measurements in cochlear implantation under the supervision of Dr Deborah Vickers and Dr Jaime Undurraga. Rajeev is currently completing a 2 year surgical fellowship in otology, auditory implantation and skull base surgery at Cambridge University Hospitals and is actively involved in the research programme there.
